     --- Agenda April 21, 2017 ---

1) Presentation by Will Jacobs on the EMC detector.

The idea is to remind PWGs of its (future) physics potential, and the work that is needed to get it there. This presentation should serve as a seed for discussions in all PWGs and will continue in a dedicated session during the collaboration meeting.
Slides at https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/blog/wwjacobs/use-emcs-2018-2020

2) Update on production status

see Jerome's summary at this week's S&C meeting:
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/event/2017/04/19/software-and-computing-meeting/aob

3) Status picoDST format updates

Work ongoing on FMS by Maowu/Prithwish and on BEMC by Bingchu. Overall coordination/integration by Ayeh.

4) Distributed Disk: MuDST to picoDST - PWG priorities.

http://www.star.bnl.gov/HyperNews-star/protected/get/starpwgc/4310.html

Only minimal feedback from the PWGs. That can easily be interpreted as the green light from your PWG for any migration from MuDST to picoDST.

Feedback:

5) PWG updates on paper plans.

Please me your update before tomorrow's meeting. It is important that we keep the overview of ongoing analyses and plans towards papers up to date.

      --- Agenda April 21, 2017 ---

1) Disk quota: DD cleanup

Synopsis: At this time the Run0-16 production involves the generation of picoDSTs. However, lack of available disk space forces the production team to off-load those files relatively soon to HPSS. This leaves only very little time for PWG QA, let alone allow analysis teams to take advantage of the new data as it appears.  Cleanup follow the DD cleanup prioritization has been paused pending picoDST format updates that allow inclusion of the FMS and EMC.

HF PWG has proposed a specific removal of certain parts of the Run-14 200GeV dataset. See

http://www.star.bnl.gov/HyperNews-star/protected/get/heavy/5218.html

Additionally, temporary stop-gap measures have been proposed that would allow storage in the PWG_TASK and PWG areas.

2) Update on picoDST development

FMS and EMC data need to be included in the picoDST format. FMS inclusion is mostly driven through the BulkCorr group and is on track for inclusion. EMC inclusion is more involved as it requires additional software modules to be redeveloped and/or refactored. The EMC inclusion is driven by HF/JetCorr PWGs.

3) PWG updates on paper plans.

Please me your update before tomorrow's meeting. It is important that we keep the overview of ongoing analyses and plans towards papers up to date.
