Run 9 Data: Trigger Simulator Investigation
A look at the behavior of the trigger simulator (in data) as part of the investigation into raising the jet patch ADC thresholds in the simulation discussed here ...

Agenda:
1) FMS preshower status (Oleg)
2) town Meeting Recap: cold/hot QCD
hotQCD and coldQCD jointly recommend
EIC as the highest priority for future
facility construction.
3) 2020+ forward upgrade plan/proposal
4) S&T review close-out
STAR dataset time from data-taken to publication
S&T committee is concerned about this.
Both Elke (spin) and I (HI/STAR) were asked to present this in
two different sessions.
Three action items:
I) HFT operation for next two runs
continue communications to DOE
ii) detail document of data-taking efficiency and improvements
(5 most important factors)
iii) detail (RCF) computing plan/optimization up to 2018
5) pA beam energy
should pA CM energy be same as pp or proton beam energies same?

Discrepancy between data and MC in background estimation -- II
We have noted that the discrepancy between data and embedding has lumnosity dependence.
2013 - Barrel Noise Study - Difference in Pedestals
Difference in Pedestals calculated and plotted
Fluxes 2013 pp510, 2014 AuAu200, 2014 He3Au200, 2014 pAu200, 2014 pp200, and 2014 pp510 collision.
I have created a table with R and Z distribution for flux of neutrons, charged hadrons, electrons and gammas for diffrent collision for STAR geometries 2013 and 2014.

Introduction for heavy flavor D meson
1.MC simulation
We use Pythia 8 to simulate Heavy Flavor D meson.

Picked out one run 13108057 with JP0 prescale equal to 1 and trying to plot the maxiaml jet patch ADC (from 18 jet patches) on the left, the barrel trigger patch adc in the middle and the differ
