Poster on W production for INPC 2010

Current version of my poster (v2) is attached below

First run through plots

We were able to run the code that creates many plots with our data. The first one plSmdCal.C gives us a .ps file that has four plots in it. two 2D histograms about mip location in UxV.

Fitting Towers

Managed to fit the Towers. We get out a gains file, and two types of pdf files. One has all the fit histograms for a set eta. The other has a mpv histogram for all the fits in a set eta.

DIS 2010 Odyniec

pT resolution of TPC Using TOF in the cosmic trigger.

I am working on this under the guidence of Gene Van Buren.

Fixed L0 check

Thanks to Pibero for putting in a modification to the trigger simulator that made it really easy to get passes_L0() to work right on both real and simulated events.

Scaling Properties of Pythia Tunes

Recently introduced tunes to Pythia, including the Perugia and Pro-pT0 tunes, promise improved modeling of non-perturbative physics at many energy scales.

Endcap Dijet Filter Study: Eta Dependant Thresholds

This page details my studies on implimenting eta dependant thresholds into Matt's dijet filtering code.

    Update on Gain change findings

Nathaniel has been able to compare all the grouped runs and generated gain ration plots to see how they change over the whole run. These groups are noted in the excel spreadsheet attached.

    Fitting the Pre and Post

We have been able to run through fitting of the pre and post. The file used for this is fitPrePost.C. It finds the summed histogram files that where created after you masked out the bad strips.
