2011 Spin QA: Transverse Running

Thoughts on implementing y2012 in AgML and integrating with STARSIM framework

1. The current starsim geometry interface should be preserved.  Users should still be able to instantiate geometry using

mass dependence of relative beam intensity

In order to see if the pion mass has a dependence on beam intensity, not just run number (or time). I estimated the beam intensity for each run in 2 fills.

Bug in PHMDGEO

There is an (undocumented) limitation in the length of lines in an AgSTAR geometry file.  Any line longer than 122 characters is trucacted at 122 characters.  Violation of this limit is f

Shower Shape Studies from Run11 data: Progress Report 2

This is an update (second) on the current progress of studying shower shapes in Run11 data. Some detail of how the study is being done (i.e.

FMS Meeting - 7-25-2011

I've updated the gain correction dependent plots to include more information about the cell and adjacent cells while the gain correction is changed.

The idea is to look at the cut St = dca /σ (track significance) but for all possibilities (silicon hits = 0 to silicon hits =4)

    Acceptance Effects

    For flat distribution Input A =0.03 = Output A=0.0299584 %diff =0.138696

    For PhiC = 0 or 180 Input A =0.03 = Output A=0 %diff =100

On spare times, I started to look into Windows 7 (Vista) new features on using caching on faster storage device (ReadyBoost) and also tried to understand what Prefetch and Superfetch does.

    Bug in TPCEGEO2

There is a bug in tpcegeo2.g.  The bug results in two holes in the TPC FEE cards being placed at an incorrect location.  This bug should have negligible impact on any existing s
