W Simulations straight monte carlo

Description

Samples of various W and Z events are needed to make progress on the W cross section analysis for the APS meetings.  This is to be plain monte carlo simulations without embedding or filtering.   The request is detailed at

Use latest  library for 2009 production  SL09g.  Choices below not up to date.

Total of 160k events is divided into different channels as documented in the above web site

W+ ->e+  10k events MSEL=12 , MDME1 206=2

W- -> e- 6k  events MSEL=12 , MDME1 206=3

W->tau nu (both signs) 10k events  MSEL=12 , MDME1 208=1

W jet 10k events MSEL 14 ! W+/- with jet production ISUB=16,31

Z -> e+e-  4k events  MSEL 11 ! gamma/Z0 production ISUB=1,96  MSTP 43=2 ! select just pure Z0 (not full gamma/Z0

Z-> all other channels 10k events

QCD pt>35 100k events

 

List of time stamps to be used for simulated events: every even calendar day starting from March 20, 2009 till April 12, 2009. Use fixed hour=1:00 pm. Split requested M-C events uniformly over days, the same # of events per day.
 

         TPC simulator: use TpcRS
         TPC gains as for 'low HV' working point during end of March 2009, pp500 run
         TPC status tables: actual dead padrow map for selected time stamp(s)  (TBD 10 time stamp values)
         TPC dEdX similar to real data calibration (low HV) with 10%accuracy
         TPC points corrections compatible with:"Corr4,OSpaceZ2,OGridLeak3D"
         BTOW, ETOW calibration - 'sim' (a.k.a. ideal) gains from DB
         BTOW, ETOW status table -  real ( drop dead towers according to time stamp, similar to TPC dead padrows)

Pi0 (New Dalitz) in CuCu 2005

Description

 

A couple of notes:
1) Similarly as other new pi0 dalitz embedding:  simulation should be 
done with the new Dalitz code, which is only available in and after 
SL09b. Reconstruction need to be done using the same library as the 
previous embedding (P06ib).
2) In previous embedding, the real pi0's with the PDG decay B.R.'s were 
used. As now we already have a new "particle" defined with 50% to 
2-gamma and 50% to Dalitz, we will request to use this "particle" for 
the embedding to improve statistics. The total # of events is 100K CuCu 
events.
3) The contact person for this request is Anders Knospe.
