Description

Mid-rapidity photon simulations for spin physics.  This request is documented at: http://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/gammaFilterDoc.pdf  It consists of ~25 pb^-1 signal and ~2 pb^-1 QCD background samples, generated in 9 hard-scattering transverse-momentum intervals, covering 2 - inf GeV/c.  It is to be carried out at the MIT cluster via grid-submission (and marked as high priority for this reason).

Besides these, select the Pro-pT0 pythia tune, and use the CKIN(3,4) variables to select the following hard-scattering intervals: 2-3.5 GeV, 3.5-4.5 GeV, 4.5-6.5 GeV, 6.5-8.5 GeV, 8.5-10 GeV, 10-15 GeV, 15-25 GeV, 25-40 GeV, 40-inf GeV
