KFVertex Status
Current results qualitatively agree with previous (2011/2012) studies, in terms of overall efficiency. Do not reproduce PPV ranking efficiency... but suspect issues running the old studies. KFV low efficiency at low multiplicity may be the source of the missing ~10% W yield relative to PPV. That 10% missing yield is contrary to other studies (Justin Stevens) of KFV+StiCA, which found increased W yield. Need to isolate the KFVertex component here. Action Item: y2012 W embedding or pileup simulation. In addition, Chanaka has volunteered to look into UPC J/Psi embedding and KFV.
HFT Base QA with Pileup
Posted results. Do not see any surprises. Results are largely consistent with the ideal Monte Carlo case. Action items are to repeat the 3-layer studies, and to add ultraperipheral collisions to the pileup sample. Also, can (is) the primary MC vertex segreated from the pileup vertices in the QA plots?
Stv Evaluation:
Need to verify that Stv was mothballed in a usable state. Action item: QA.
KNN Note:
Agreed that the next task with respect to KNN should be a note documenting the algorithm and what we have learned from it.
Laundry List of Agenda items:
1. Stv BFC options
2. Stv Base QA Check
3. StHit modifications
4. StEvent memory pool issue
5. HFT pileup base QA?
6. KFV update
7. HFT single hit efficiencies?
8. ...
