HIT-by-HIT comparison between AgML and AgSTAR geometries for tag y2009c
Abstract: A hit-by-hit comparison is made with STARSIM between the AgML and AgSTAR versions of the STAR geometry. 100k muons are sampled in a flat phasespace and used as input to both simulations. Hit multiplicity on the track, dE/dx of the hits, and g2t_volume_ids are compared.
- -5 < η < 5
- 100k muons thrown flat in η, φ, 1 < pT < 30 GeV
- Most physics switched off (no dE/dx fluctuations, no pair production, no multiple scattering, etc...)
- Plot AgML hit multiplicity / track vs AgSTAR hit multipliciy
- Plot AgML hit energy loss / track vs AgSTAR hit energy loss
- Count number of times AgML g2t_volume_id equals AgSTAR g2t_volume_id
Dropdown menu provided by Dmitry.
At present, all of our production geometries have consistent hits in AgSTAR and AgML.
