Configuring_Hot_Towers
A code prepared to find out hot towers.
This code running on the root files used by the macros which created L2btowW monitorig PDF at http://online.star.bnl.gov/L2algo/l2btowW/
Use the histo:
W-BTOW-accepted: acc seed tower ET>5.00 GeV
IF
Xi -Xbar > Threshold * RMS ------> HOT
***************************************************************************************
For ETOW, use the histo
ETOW: Seed Tower RDO
IF
Xi -Xbar > Threshold * RMS ------> HOT
Code plot a recap histogram hot towers Vs run number. And also out put text file create which include list of hot towers of each run.
To test I use runs from fill 17318.
Now I need find out a good threshold value.
Threshold == 6
B- 3737 for R 14092097 L2plots , J plots : for R 14092098 L2 plots , J plots
**********************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Threshold == 10
**********************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Threshold == 12
Seems to me actually hot in this set of runs are soft ID 3737 of Barrel and Soft ID 615 in Endcap.
my feeling is to use threshold = 12
